Help! My iPad keeps telling me I have no mobile data left when I do?!

I hope someone can help me as its starting to annoy me! I started using giff gaff paying £5 a month for mobile data so I can use my iPad 2 out and about where there is no wifi. This at first worked fine but just recently I've been getting a message come up on my iPad 2 repeatedly saying I've got no mobile date remaining when i know i have! As far as I can see, the settings are fine. I don't know what's going on!

Also if anyone can help me, my inbox automatically deletes old emails every so often what's going on? Can't find anything in the settings to rectify this, I'm using a hotmail account.

Do you mean as in how much data I've used? If so, I buy 500mb a month and haven't used any yet cause I keep getting this message coming up telling me I've got none remaining?

What does your cellular data carrier say about your usage?
 
I'm in the us and have Verizon. I get this too and I have 6GB of data a month. I use an app called data usage on all my devices so I can track my usage. I have no idea yet what the problem is but if I login on the Verizon website to check my usage it always agrees with the app. So I know I have plenty of data left. Also, both the app and Verizon will alert me when my usage reaches certain levels (50%, etc).
Also, I have yet to get locked out of using my data.

If your carrier agrees with your wn estimates of data usage, you could probably ignore the pop up and wait for the proper data usage warnings mentioned by AQ_OC.
