HELP please!!

Just got this iPad two days ago. Spanking new. My sound doesn't work unless I have earphones on. When I'm playing "ninja fruit slices" " sims3" or any other game,I can't hear nothing unless I put on the earphones. Oooh but when I'm on pandora or YouTube it is blasting....like loud! I don't understand. I'd say the speakers but I don't think that's the case.

Omg. I fixed it. Thank you. I did check the setting. I locked the "mute" instead of the lock rotation thingy mahgiggy. all fixed
