Help.....something just changed on my ipad

was searching on eBay and must have pushed something different, as now all the surrounding area of the screen is black and all my book marked pages are showing on a screen in front a bit like the apps show on your front page...... under that is a word private.....what have I done

Errrr, thats, normal. That is new in iOS 7. But safari being black because of being in private mode existed even before iOS 7

Also the little loading line that goes across the page when loading has gone white on black when it was blue before, when i open safari the page comes up with all my booked pages on the screen like the apps on the main page

Thats also new in iOS 7.

Everything you described is new in iOS 7, except for safari being black because your in private mode. If you want to exit it press that plus button on the upper right of your screen. Then you will see another tab thats says new. At the lower left, you will see private. Press it.

All back to normal colours, black was very hard on the eyes... wonder why the IOS 7 only happened today as I updated it over a week ago and it never showed up that screen before..
