Mu Ipad 2 will receive emails but cannot send emails. All details are the same for receipt and sending of emails.

Any suggestions?

Hi, welcome to iPF!

Which email account do you use? (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, ...)
As you told us that all detail are the same for receiving and sending emails: the outgoing mail server has to be different than the host name of the incoming mail server.
