I have some audio file on dropbox which I like to save it on my iPad. I downloaded vlc app but still under dropbox it is saying "no installed apps support this file"! Can you please help me what app I have to download.

VLC on iDevices only played video. It is no longer available, and no longer supported. It will play videos in Safari that are otherwise not playable, but will not play any audio files.

Just to be clear, the app I am referring to is different to the VLC streamer app which is still available. VLC streamer is used to stream content from your PC.

Thanks but I have downloaded vlc streamer and its not recognized in dropbox. Do you know any other app?

OPlayer will probably do what you want.

Check out the description and make sure it supports the file type you have stored in DropBox.
