What's new

Hi new member with downlading problems!

Hi I am new....I am trying to download a tv series from iTunes onto my iPad 2. I have purchased it but when I then click to download it the timer runs down but nothing actually happens after that. It just goes back to a blank screen with terms and conditions on the screen. When I look to see if the download is complete in my purchase history the series is there but still has the red tag on it to say it isn't downloaded yet. Not sure I am making any sense I am very new to apple use.....

Hope someone can help
Thanks

Hello and Welcome, first of all a quick bit of info about the forum and some advice :).
I'd recommend reading the forum rules (http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html) and looking at some of the stickied threads on here. Many of them are very useful, if you have time (and you'll need quite a bit) I'd also recommend reading the tips and tricks thread (search for it using the search bar) as that has some really useful pointers in it. A friendly reminder about any questions you may have, it's always best to search function to find something out first as the chances are your query has been answered before, whats more you'll often get a faster answer as it can take a while for someone to come along that can help sometimes. If however, you search to no avail, go ahead and post something (preferably in the correct section [speeds up your answer and makes less work for the admins]), chances are someone will be able to help.
As for your question, I don't completely understand quite what you mean but a work around that I can think of that may help you would be to access iTunes on your computer and download the series this way. If this doesn't work come back and let us know. Also, are you still able to download apps etc, and more importantly have you tried downloading other series'? If these work it might be something wrong apples end, if they don't we're probably looking at a problem your end.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Have you looked in your video app? As this is where video will be downloaded to. Also have you allowed enough time for it to be downloaded, it's not an instant task to download and may take some time depending on your Internet speed.

The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. There is a wealth of information already here in the many threads we have so doing some searches will answer most of the questions you have. If then you cannot find the answer you are seeking then by all means post your question. There are many friendly and informed members here only too willing to help you.

We also have our own App - It is a very simple app to navigate.

Thanks so much all of you. I think I was a bit hasty asking a technical question straight away and should have been more patient and done more searching on here first. I am not the most patient of people and i am not that technical!! So I appreciate the help. I am in the process of sorting out the issue through some of the advice on here and also the iTunes technical support. The next thing I need to try is upgrading the iTunes I have and downloading on my computer rather than the iPad, and go from there.
Thanks for being so welcoming on here....:)

We're here to help in any case. Yes you will need the latest version of iTunes on your computer, also is your iPad updated to the latest OS. You can look in Settings - General - About and look for version....the latest is 5.1.1
