Hotmail Folders

I have set up hotmail and can send and receive emails without any problems.
What I would like though is to have all my emails downloaded to my iPad. When I click on any of my folders, it only looks for new ,ail, but does not show mail that is in each folder.
If I go to hotmail through the web, then this is not a issue.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Check your mail days to sync is set to no limit under settings - mail, contacts, calendars - your hotmail account.

Thank you so much for this tips. After 7 months of pad ownership my folders have re appeared and now up and running
