How do I back up photos not taken by my ipad?

Hi,

I have transferred photos from my camera to my new iPad and I have them syncing to my computer via iCloud. Unfortunately, syncing via iCloud doesn't meet my backup requirements. I'm going to be travelling and want to insure against losing my camera or iPad or both:

• there's a maximum of 1000 photos and I expect to take more than that
• I'm going to be travelling for longer than 30 days and the iCloud sync deletes photos older than 30 days.
• I won't be leaving my home computer running while I'm away.

I've tried SugarSync and DropBox but they will only backup photos taken by the iPad itself.

Any suggestions please?
