How do I disable initial "slide to unlock" page?

I'd like my ipad to go directly to the apps icon page every time I turn it on. I've looked every where in the general settings and cannot find a way to disable the initial "slide to unlock" page.

Is there a way to do this?

You can't unless you jail break it.

DefBref is right. There's a nice little tweak called "NoLockScreen" which jumps you straight to the springboard whenever you waken the iPad.
