How to delete incorrect email addresses

Greetings. I have an iPad 2 and just updated to iOS 6. My question, how do I delete incorrect email addresses?

I'm afraid you can't unless there's been a change with IOS6 that we haven't heard of as yet. Yes it's a nuisance but I have heard they do drop off eventually with time but sorry I don't know how long that is.
