How to delete some songs in my ipad?

I want to delete some songs which are in my ipad under ipod icon
Pl explain

(1) Connect your iPad to your PC/Mac
(2) Open iTunes
(3) Find your iPad on the left side, and click on the "Music" entry
(4) Select the music you want to remove and hit the delete key

As far as I know there is no method to delete music without using iTunes.
