How to disable lock

hi, I downloaded IOS 8. Somehow I now have a lock code in order to get into my iPad. How can I disable this? Thanks!!

During the initialization the iPad asked you to enter a four digit code, twice. If you did not skip this step, you set the lock code.

You're going to have to remember that code, or restore your device.

If you do remember the lock code, go to Settings > Passcode, enter the code, then turn it off.
