how to read googlew search results

Apologies for this question but I only got my iPad today. When I do a google search howto I get to read the results ? I've tried tappingf onthem burt they don't open

I am pretty sure that I only tap on the results to open them.

But sometimes iOS has this bug, where tapping doesn't do anything. A workaround is to use the pinch gesture to resize to screen content, this always solves the problem for me.
