How to snip part of quoted text?

When I wish to reply to a lengthy forum message and snip the unrelated, part, I haven't figured out how to do the snip on the iPad.

Using my PC and mouse, it's very easy to select the part to snip. But using the iPad, I can't seem to scroll the text in the quoted post if it is larger than the window and haven't figured out how to select only part of it. When the quoted message appears in the window, there's no scroll bar visible on a lengthy msg to scroll through the message like on my PC.

Any suggestions?

When you have the reply box open, use a two finger scroll to be able to move within the window. That way, you can move around and highlight/select text.
