How to transfer my apps to SD via CCK on JB iPad 3

Hi,
I own a modest 16GB 3rd-gen iPad and am running out of space, after downloading free apps every day for a while now (thanks Apps Gone Free...)

As my device is jailbroken and I have a Camera Connection Kit, how can I transfer my apps to a SD card?

If not possible, at least I would like to backup them so that I don't need to download them again in the future.

I have the free version of iFile, not sure if a simple copy of the apps folder will do the trick?

Thanks! :)

You can't transfer your apps to an SD card. You can back up your apps in iTunes when you do a full back up. You will however have to download them to your iPad before using then. You can also re-download apps from the purchased list in the AppStore.

hi, thanks for clarifying this, I appreciate your answer, it's just that now I have even more doubts...

- can I restore single apps or do I need to restore the whole iPad?
- can I install any apps on the SD directly in the future?

Thanks!

Apps can't be installed on an SD card. If you restore an iPad from a backup, everything in the backup is installed on the iPad. If you choose instead to set up as a new iPad, you can pick and choose which of your previously purchased apps to re-download to your iPad.
