Does anyone know where the clipboard is located on an ipad2, when a person copies a link and it states it is saved to the "Clipboard" But where?
Anyone help

Hello and welcome to the forum! It's good to "see" you and I hope you enjoy your visits ,

The clipboard is a virtual/software thing. Once you've got the message that something has been copied to the clipboard, another press and hold of your finger (in a text input field/app) will show another pop-up that will include the "Paste" command.

The text will stay on that virtual clipboard until you copy more text. Then, the new text will overwrite the old.

Hope this clarifies.

Hi
So I press and hold my finger.......But, (in a text input field/app) what do you mean by that?
Sorry for not understanding

I mean that you need to be in an app (or input field, if you're on the Internet) where you would normally get the typewriter. Someplace like a search field, the Notes app, etc.

For example, if you we're copying text, you could paste it in the Notes app (after selecting Paste that pop-up) - but you wouldn't be able to have any place to paste text in, say, the Photos app. The Photos app doesn't do text, so you wouldn't even see that in a pop-up.

Hope that clarifies.

Hi Barbara and welcome also to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here.
I can't describe it better than Marilyn above, but these two screen shots may also help.
In a text field (like your post here) I can copy any part of your post by holding down on the text, when the "Copy" option will come up. I can move the blue dots around to highlight just what I want to copy...like this

Then I can go to any other text (here I'm staying within this post) and choose the spot to which I want to copy that piece of text....like this

You can see that the "Paste" option comes up, which when I press, finishes the Cut and Paste operation...your sentence is put here..

Hope that helps. Don't hesitate to ask if there's any more head scratching about any of this:)
