i pad screen cover

after having my ipad 2 for a month now kids are always on it and we all are loving the i pad but I have noticed 2 very faint scratches on the screen

question one is can you remove these in any way ?

question two what is the best way to protect the screen which will be able to stand up two kids using it?

Look here - the screen protector will hide the scratches too...
