The CPU and memory are slightly different (1gb ram vs 512mb ) . iPad 3 is also smaller(thinner) . 1080p camera vs 720p;
2048×1536 resolution.
iPad3 is NOT thiner, it is thicker and heavier than iPad2. Better memory but totally junky (in comparison to other devices) front and back camera.

I came from an iPad 1, so the difference is substantial for me.

Agreed. I had Ipad 1 since they came out and skipped 2. Ipad gen 3 is a very big upgrade for me, a very heavy user of the Ipad for most of my computer needs--but I have learned to combine apps, use Dropbox, etc. For a photographer it is a good step up with the higher resolution screen and the screen is better for any app that has upgraded to include it. If I had a gen 2 I wouldn't have upgraded but glad I waited.

My first iPad was an iPad 3 and I can't fault it. Especially seeing the difference between the screen resolution. That's most important for me. I was initially going to buy an iPad 2 and save myself £100. But after comparing the 2 on screen display only I went for the 3. However if I had already had the iPad 2 before hand I wouldn't of upgraded. As stated in the above posts I agree it's all down to budget.

Thanks for your share but i'm asking what the differences?

Tkfini-I understand that you are trying to find differences, however a good search of this topic will bring you some revelant threads that will help your questions. See some of the threads below:

These are quite a few here...perhaps you should take some time to review some of these prior threads to see what has been said already. Also...the title of your thread denotes a negative tone to members coming on to post comments. Just a heads up for future postings...thanks.

Please, is the iPad's Bluetooth useless. Can't find the use of it. It refuses to connect to every device

I just deleted your other post as it was a duplicate of this one. Please do not do this since it makes it hard for other members to read and help you of there are multiple threads of the same topic present. It is also against forum rules.

Thanks. I'm a rookie :)

I think we might need to close this thread, the original poster already got his question answered multiple times.
