iCloud Drive video not syncing to my iPad's Photos app

I have an iPad air 2 using iOS10.

I uploaded a video (not taken on my iPad, but in MP4 format) to iCloud Drive.

I have used about 2.8Gb of the free 5Gb in iCloud Drive.

I thought this video would automatically sync to the Photos app

(which already contains a folder called "Videos"). It did not.

"Photos" and "iCloud Photo Library" are both turned on in settings.

I feel I have a setting wrong somewhere in the iPad.

Some guidance would be appreciated.

Welcome to iPad Forums!

iCloud Drive doesn't sync images and videos to the Photos app. There's nothing wrong with your settings.

If you wish to get the video to Photos, you'll have to save it to the app. On your iPad, open the iCloud Drive app and select the video. Then tap the Share button at the top right. You should get the option to save it:

You should find it in Photos afterwards.

Hope that helps.

Many thanks for your very rapid response.
I've been trying for a long time to do this.
Your suggestions worked perfectly.
It's a relief.
