I'm in U.S. but want to also download French apps how do I do it

I am in the U.S. and have buying apps from the U.S. store. However, I would also like to get free apps from the Itunes French website. How can I do this? When I go to the French site it asks me to register but I do not know if I need to create a new account and then I can't put in payment information because it bumps me back to U.S. site. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

You will need to create a new itunes account for the french version of the app store.
