No they wern't mine. they come off the oyster lease at Burgoyne BAY. We just stopped to chat to the fellow who works seeding and harvesting . I noticed yellow bags in juxstiposition to the yellow tips of the trees on the mountain.The colours don't jump like they did in the light.I didn't bring a camera.It was a ipad day.

this is a petroglyph on the same beach.The arrow points south south west.Out towards Samsoe Narrows.
the oyster worker brings empty o.shells to the beach and plants them amongst growing oyster beds.The seed is on the planted shell.The living oyster spread their spawn and fertilize the seeds on the empty shell.And that's how baby oysters are cultivated.There is a lot of theft in the night.So says the oyster man.Not personal use mind you but whole beds of babies that get scooped and planted on other lease areas.
I just googled a superficial search and wicapedia says archeology is in compleat"duh" but some believe several thousand years of people inhabitating this region.No one I know would take a guess. It's to long to remember.
