That's cool looking.....

Nowadays, when I look at photos, I don't know what's real and what's not. I can't even be sure the lighting is real. I still enjoy looking...but I'm wondering is any real photography is being done without just some cropping. I think cropping is ok....well, that's not really what I mean....I liked edited pics with artistic flare, I just want to know which I am looking at is what I'm trying to say. Ok, I guess is that the bottom one above is edited for effect (and I wish I could do that too), but what about the top one? Is that some fancy HDR stuff going on, JA?

Just to make sure: you mean the one without the flying saucer? That's almost my original, a little bit dramatized, I guess.
If you mean the one with the flying saucer: I wish I could do that myself.
As I posted before: Iriana edited them. And I like them both. That's what you can make out of a boring landscape picture. ;-)

My friend takes these pictures of me and turns them into these crazy apace pictures. Kinda cool, I think.

Yes, so your original was also modified. I think that was an easy one to figure out. But I've seem some shots done by pros that I had to wonder about too. Part of the reason for that is I'm wondering if I can one day achieve such in my own shots, but if they are been enhanced, I have the wrong goals. :)

Hold on.....the toilets have floor to ceiling glass......hmm, you wouldn't want to be a helicopter pilot around that thing!

Hi AQ_OC,

There are many ways to edit pictures. Some edits and tweaks are barely noticeable, others really change the image :). I like to do edits for fun and art. Some are fantasy edits, some not. I do them because I enjoy doing them, not because I'd have to tweak a bad image.

I've got about 1600 images on Instagram, which is a fun photo sharing site. Instagram encourages you to edit images. :)


You might enjoy trying your hand at some photo editing for the fun of it. :) I'd be glad to turn you on to a nice photo editing app to start with, if you're interested. :)
 
The most unusual, one-of-a-kind tree I have ever seen stands alone on a side of a small road in Oregon. It's called the "SHOE TREE". LOL.

It's growing hundreds of shoes. ;).

Actually, people tie their shoes to it. The more is there, the more it attracts them.
