Image/Photo Thread Of Any Images You Would Like To Share....

A few pages back in this thread, I posted the pics shown below @ the bottom in the quote - last week I took in the new ‘wings’ and helped installed each by the side of my older central unit - already filling up w/ name badges! Dave :)

Well after two years, I've gotten back into my woodworking hobby (had a left thumb cyst removed and the nerve took nearly a year to heal) - so have completed several projects, the main one was to build two additional name badge wall holders for our local Unitarian Fellowship - made of oak and contains 8 tiers each of about 16" horizontal holders - finished w/ spray shellac as a sealer coat followed by spray lacquer. Added top semi-lunar adornments @ the top (glued up walnut & oak) to distract from the rectangular appearance - will be taking the project in tomorrow - below added pics of my original larger single name badge holder - SO, should look kind of like a triptych (from my art history days as an undergrad, I guess) - Dave :)

Before sunset
These were taken with my iPhone:

Pro tip ;)
If you think your legs are too short, wait for the hour before sunset or after sunrise, and admire your "new" long legs:

It's funny that my body consists of two long sticks that end in a kind of sphere with knobs. :D
The images with the DSLR were not as good as those with the iPhone, imo, except for these two:

Your sunset was spectacular today! You did a perfect job of capturing its beauty.

Went to a couple of wildlife refuges near Cape Canaveral yesterday. Got a couple of good shots.

Bird watchers from all over the US come to south Florida to see the Limpkin. This is the northern edge of it's range. It was 'catching' snails from the marsh, extracting them from their shells, and eating. It happens fast and they go right back into the grass, so I didn't get a shot of them with snail, but I did get a couple of close-ups.

If you're interested in the animal:

Nice pics Bob - now Susan & I eat snails occasionally but not sure a 100% diet would be our choice - also thinking of koalas and eucalyptus leaves! ;)

Follow-up - not even 1 PM and our light snow has about all melted. Dave :)

I'm not good at taking pictures of people. So I've joined a kind of challenge this year, where you get the possibility to improve and get inspiration from other people's photos. The next task is to take a photo of someone else. With my son's equipment (light), a few tips from him, and my camera, I got these results (black and white, because my daughter prefers this, and she looks pretty good in b/w, imo):

With her flute (these two are my favorites):

I think you're doing good so far.

She looks like she's going to play baseball with her flute.

Roseate Spoonbill taken last week in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge near the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Spoonbill is often misidentified as a flamingo by tourists (we forgive them) and although we have flamingos in Florida they are uncommon.

Please forgive a little blur, hand held at 720mm zoom equivalent at a moving target is a little hard to hold.
