A beautiful picture!
I have to correct: we do have problems in the village as well. i just heard that my aunt has to pump water out of her cellar, since a few days. I think she won't be the only one.

Well I hope that your aunt is ok, I remember from my time staying with friends in Germany, everyone had cellars and often used them as living spaces, is it the same in Austria?
Most of the houses do have cellars. Some use them as living spaces, but not my aunt.

So there must be others with the same problem, it sounds like a terrible situation for them all.
It surely is. This doesn't happen very often, fortunately.

I've been following the story about Johanna's aunt and the flooding problems in the area.
It's seems as if more and more communities, world-wide, are suffering floods. Perhaps it is time that we learned some lessons about how those who live in areas frequently flooded deal with the situation, and see what they do with existing and new buildings to mitigate the situation.

I hope your aunt is ok and she can get the water pumped out of her cellar!
She's okay. AFAIK she should have stopped pumping.
It still looks good. I wonder why someone left this beauty near to the road.
