It's the junction of the TransCanada Yellowhead Highway and the Stewart-Cassiar Highway at Kitwanga. About 100 km up tha highway is the closest I've been to Alaska, about 40 km from Hyder.

Okay. I've driven that Cassiar highway several times both ways, but it's been at least 20 years ago. It wasn't paved much then. Beautiful and curvy. I drive the AL-CAN a lot because we have friends in Dawson Creek.

These are great photos, Iriana. I can see you are a good photographer, but I hope you remembered to use a telephoto lens This is one cute animal you do not want to get close to.

Thanks Andrew. Glad you like the pictures. I took these with a little point and shoot camera. No telephoto. Now using my iPhone 5 camera...

I agree that these bears are not to be gotten too close to. I was just lucky to be at the right place to take these shots.

Took this image in Yukon. This buffalo was very close to me. Less than ten feet (3meters) away.
