iMessage not working all of a sudden.

It started last night. I went to check in imessages on my ipad mini, and iMessage said i had to sign in. I had already signed in when i got my ipad mini. Ok, so i tried to sign in. But i kept getting errors saying The password is incorrect. I tried logging out and in to facetime and used the same password I used to sign into imessages. It worked fine with facetime. Are apple's iiMessage login servers down or could this a problem with my ipad mini?

I badly need to use imessage on my ipad mini, so please help as soon as possible.

Try a hard reset. If this doesn't work, then try resetting your network settings. Just as a warning, you'll have to re-enter any Wifi passwords you may have stored.

Hard reset didn't fix anything, network settings didn't fix anything either. FaceTime works fine, only imessage wont work. BTW my ipad mini is jailbroken.
