Importing Video from ProDuo USB Reader

I tried to import videos with my MS ProDuo USB reader through my Ipad camera USB adapter and it would only read/import the files as pictures and not videos. It did seem to recognize all of them just not as videos and it put them in the picture folder.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a workaround? Will it read properly if I hook up my Sony Handycam directly? The cards I have are Panasonic 8GB HD cards.

I believe that is normal, because, when I take a video on my iPhone it goes into the Camera Roll/Pictures folder, not into the Video folder, as you might expect it to do. If you tap on them, they should still play, if the iPad supports that format of video.
