Interface required to connect a microphone

So I've got the iPad 2 and have just started out using it as midi controller through a few apps.. but being a vocalist my main requirement is connecting it to an external mic and by that I don't mean the imic coz I want to use it for gigs and the Imic doesn't really cut it when it comes to my EV767, I really wanna figure this out fast.

Any suggestions ya'll??
