Internet on iPad through tether to iPhone

I just found out that an iPad can get Internet through Bluetooth tether to iPhone ( I did search the forum to see if this has been previously posted).

Personal Area Network Profile (PAN)
Personal Area Network Profile provides network connectivity over Bluetooth. With iOS this is common with multiplayer games and Personal Hotspot on iPhone.

iPod touch and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later support Internet tethering from an iPhone with iOS 4.2.6 or later, through PAN.

Yes it can but you must pay your service provider (iPhone).

It's very possible to tether without ATT service. It takes a jailbreak though. I found that tetherme works best.

JB on the phone or iPad?

Tetherme gets installed on the phone side... Uses the built in tethering in Settings/Personal Hotspot. iPad just picks it up on the wifi list.
