Introducing myself

Hello all,

I haven't got my iPad yet; have had the iPhone 3, now 4 for some time.

Home computer is a quad-core 15"MBP, i7, with 240GB OWC SSD, and 8GB RAM. As it totally thrashed the old quad-core MacPro, now the laptop is my only computer.

I edit lots of images (Capture One Pro 6) and video (FCP 7), so power is necessary.

I am getting a 3G enabled iPad, the 32GB model, and immediately the idea of controlling the home MBP popped into my mind—and my partner's mind, too; we have posted a joint Q on the remote access thread.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
