Hey guys and women,

Im wedaprimic. Im thinking of jailbreaking my ipad 2 but dont know if i should. What are the pros and cons for doing so? And is there a free way to do this directly from my ipad2 without a dektop? Is it really all that its cracked up to be?

Speaking for myself, yes, jail breaking is all that it's cracked up to be. Of course, every person has to make his or her own decision. To help you get started, have a look at this thread: http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2838-jailbreak-explained-new-updated-2011-a.html. That should give you a basic understanding.

Those two threads should keep you busy. Then, there are all the tips and stories in the Hacking section. So, grab a snack and a beverage of your choice. There's lots of reading available - hopefully some of it will help you make a decision.

The one thing I can tell you is that no, there is no current way to jail break an iPad2 without a computer. Sorry, but that's what we got...
