Parrori1 I suggest you connect to a computer with iTunes and then backup plus restore and see what happens. In most cases this fixes any issues

Update: I did a backup of my iPad 2 and then performed a restore to factory settings. Result was that about 80-90 % of my problems are gone. I now have a very workable iPad again. I understand a further ios8 update is in the works to solve a lot of the problems and I look forward to that.
