I have an ipad2 and would like to get iOS 5 or 6 and I cloud. How do I do that???
There are no apps or anything for it. It's annoying because so many things that need the iOS, and I can't download or update my apps.
Also how are we suppose to watch content when this device does not support adobe flash player?? I don't get it

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You will need to update your iPad. What OS are you on....go to Settings - General - About and look for version.

If you haven't updated to IOS5 as yet you will need to do the updates connected to your computer. First of all make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your pc, it's also a good idea to disable virus protection/firewall for the duration of the update.

You will be jumping across many updates and the jump to OS 5 was a very large one, so this will take some time and is dependent on what you already have on your iPad.
Make sure you backup everything first. I will include some links to guide you along the way. Good luck and let us know how you go. Btw, you are going to love all the new features you will have! You will end up on IOS6 and all future updates can be done on your iPad OTA (over the air)

All your apps will need to be updated......with every upgrade for the ipad, apps also receive updates to run on the new system.....if you have any problems with an app it might be an idea to delete it and reinstall. All apps you have purchased in the past are recorded under Purchases in the App Store, so you will be able to download them again for free. Make sure you do backup any files within apps that you have first.

Also might be an idea to check if an app is still available if you do delete any, some do get pulled for various reasons.

Thanks Leelai

I can't risk losing my paid apps. I have a few that are 50-60 usd each. Guess I'll just stick to 4.3.3, after all if it ain't broke......

You won't lose your apps! If anything goes wrong you will be able to download them again free.....I didn't mean to worry you at all about this. Have a look in your Purchased Tab in the App Store and you will see them all there.

There are so many new features for the taking with the upgrade and I'm sure you'll like them, I certainly do and would upgrade in a heartbeat!

Hi Leelai, and thanks for your help.
I have version 4.3.5, so updating is essential, now I will be able to enjoy my iPad.
Thanks again and will let you know how I get on
