ipad 1 compatible earphones?

I have several standard earphones. They all work.
The iPad 1 is notorious for how hard you have to push the jack in to seat it properly. Don't go crazy, but try pushing a bit more firmly and see if that helps. Generally you'll feel a slight click as it goes the rest of the way in place.

Weird. I have five sets of headphones / earbuds that aren't from Apple, nor were they purchased for iPad, and they all work with it. And all the earbuds that came with my other iDevices also work with iPad.
If your earphones really don't work, you can buy an adapter at someplace like Radio Shack. They're usually only a few bucks.
