Hey all. I tried out an "experiment" from a site that lets you access the phone feature from the iphone on the ipad. i tried it screwed up my ipad. i fixed it with the iExplorer for windows (i had made a backup of files). Now FaceTime is gone. I dont care much about FaceTime and it doesnt bother me that its gone but I wanna ask something else (plus it would be nice if i get facetime back too).

Is there any app that lets you use basic cellular requests (MMI codes like *805# and stuff) to the network provider, like requesting balance and stuff. Thanks!

EDIT:

I got the app to make MMI (USSD codes). can you kindly help me in getting facetime back. Here is the link to the experiment i followed:

I've removed the link as per our rules. Please don't post links to other iPad forums / blogs, particularly to articles which are suggesting experiments which will mess up your iPad!

Getting the iPad to function like and iPhone is not as simple as dropping the iPhone app on there and changing a plist to say the device is now an iPhone! If it was, we would all have been doing it for years! It's just a sure fire way to mess up your device.

Make sure you back out the changes you made to the plist, as well as deleting the app you put on there. After a reboot, if that doesn't get your iPad back working as it should be, I suggest a restore and re-jailbreak!
