iPad 2 Disabled

Hello. My son gave me an older iPad 2 but he forgot his passcode. I tried using iCloud and iTunes but to no avail. Any advice how I can get this unlocked. I don't care if the data is lost. I would like to put my sheet music on this device.

You’ll have to get your son to remove the iPad from his Apple Account.

He’ll also have to do something about the password.

Thanks. He did remove it via iCloud and I followed steps from a You Tube video but to no avail. It looks like it is working, downloading and extracting software but it fails every time. Not sure where to turn. Thanks. Last time I received a 4013 error code.
