IPad 2, Windows 7 and DVD's

I have just purchased an IPad2 and have a question. I tried to do a search and was not able to find an answer so please excuse me if this was already answered somewhere.

I have a Windows 7 machine and would like to burn some DVD's I have and put them on my Ipad2 to go on vacation. What would be good software and how would I go about this?

I personally use DVDshrink and handbrake. Both free.
