What's new

Ipad 3....What would you like to see or predict for the next model.

I would like to NOT see the iPad3 for a while since the iPad2 is still so fresh out the box lol.

but if it is going to be announced within a year of the 2 then I would say a slightly better camera.... thats it really im pretty freaking chuffed with the iPad as it is now

I agree! I feel for those who bought the original iPad when it came out, only to have the ipad2 come out so soon!

A better camera would be nice, but not absolutely necessary...at least not for me. I wish I could save documents received via email. Maybe I'm missing something, I can download the document but not save it or transfer it to an app.

When you get it in an email, you can choose to open it with any compatible app. Such as the Docs to go app. If I get a PDF in an email, I can tap on it and choose to view it in docs to go, then I can save it with docs to go and view it any time with that app.

It didn't come out "so soon" It came out a year later! Just like the iPad3 will mostly likely come out next spring.

What about those who purchased 6 months ago?

Thanks...the app wasn't working correctly! I backed up all my data, deleted it, and reinstalled and now it will open and save documents in emails.

Not on the UK market, came out at the 10 month mark.

You can't be serious, market forces and shifts cannot be governed by those who arrive late to the table, I mean welcome and thanks for buying, but those of us who get in early like to see upgrades, I agree 10 months is a bit too early (I am referring to the UK market).

A friend of mine got given the iPad 1 for Valentines day by his not so tech savvy girlfriend, he was gutted as he knew about the pending iPad 2 release (March 25th in UK). I think he is planning to change girlfriend soon....only kidding.

For on device storage I use an app called Goodreader, it really is very simple and one of my most used apps, it was free when I downloaded it, I thinks there is a small charge now. For cloud based storage Dropbox is fantastic.

There are a couple of third party providers that make "skins" for iPads. I bought a Belkin one on ebay for less than $10 shipped and it really provide a great grip.

I think that apple just wants to keep the sleek aluminum feel for the backside... I believe the grip would take away from recognizing how thin the device actually is

And I think that Apple should continue to make them as sleek and thin as they can. But for those who would like a better grip there are options available.

I agree. My only issue with aluminum is that its a fingerprint magnet. Oh well. Most people cover it all up with a case anyway.

What can it be made out of that's strong and not just hard plastic? My apologies. I don't know anything about it. It would be nice to have some grip though.
