iPad 3G interchangeable logic board with Wifi only?

I have an iPad 3G with a bad logic board. I have found a cheap Wifi only logic board but it has a different connector to the top flex. Can I just buy a Wifi only top flex and put it on the Wifi only logic board, will this work fine? Obviously I am not expecting the 3G to work.

I'm afraid not, you'll need to find a WiFi + cellular logic board.
