I know the Air has better specs, but for users here on this forum,is the Air really worth the extra money.
I dont want to be limited in any way with apps, watching movies etc with the 4,but i can get a decent saving on it.
I have iPad 4 and she's fulfilled every request. September new iPad most likely, with that usually comes price decrease on previous (Air). That being said if you're looking to buy now the iPad 4 won't disappoint.
I've had a 4 then received an Air last month. The Air is definitely a lot zippier, but I never had reason to think that the 4 was slow (I'm not a hard-core gamer). If you can get a good deal on a 4, and you've never held an Air before, you won't be disappointed. Just don't handle an Air for a while or you might get buyer's remorse. Just don't spend full retail on a 4 (or any iPad, really). Buy gently used, make sure it's not tied to the old owner's Apple ID, and spend much less than retail.
I bought a 4 for the wifey and it seems to do everything she wants it to without much fuss. The Air is considerably lighter and more svelt but the performance difference isn't incredibly large or anything. A good deal on a 4 is worth it.
