iPad and a 2012 Honda CR-V

iPad Forums are new to me as I try to use my iPad in my new car. Some of you are probably way ahead of me on this, so I'll see what I can find.

I have an iPad 2. This is my second version of it. My first one loaded my iTunes and podcasts to what was called an iPod. However, the FaceTime camera did not work, so I received this one as a rEplacement; it no longer calls it an iPod, but simply Music.

With that said, I am hoping to be able to play the iPad music through the speakers in my 2012 Honda CR-V EX-L. I have plugged the iPad 2 into the USB port, the car has tried to find it, but to no avail. Any suggestions, anyone?
