I found that while running an updated on 8 apps the process was very slow and evevually stopes some in mid update, and have stayed that way for 2 days.Has anybody else had this problem.
While rebooting might help, a behaviour like this after an update is not normal.

If resetting/rebooting doesn't help, go to App Store - Purchased, stop them from "updating" (press the circle at the right, so that "Update" appears again), and let them update one by one.
It's also possible to update these apps in iTunes on your computer, and sync them to your iPad afterwards.
Another option would be to remove those apps from your iPad, and reinstall them.
