iPad attachments

My Daughter sent me some nice videos (7mb) from her ipad to my ipad and they opened fine.

But when I forwarded them to a friends laptop, she could not open them, any obvious

Reason for that do you think?

Need to install codec?

What format are the videos in? The file extension is a good indicator. I.e. mp4, mov, avi etc

Which movie player is she trying to open them with?

Apple QuickTime Player I believe opens most

she would not consciously have "used" any movie player to open, as I sent them without warning, as I would a pic, but I know she has WMP.

The videos where sent from my daughters ipad, so I think they were MOVI

I suggest you have your friend get QuickTime, the Apple version of Windows Media Player. I had this problem too but when i changed my default to Quicktime, it played an iPad created video.
