iPad Calendar - cannot edit

I have set my ical on my ipad to synch with Google synch calendar which also synchs to my work MS Outlook. This is the only way I can do it since my work has restrictions on using outlook exchange.

Everything works great except that I cannot edit calendar entries on my ipad that I did not create myself in MS Outlook. I can edit all the ones I created. Is this a setting issue or perhaps a bug?

I can edit these entries in Google as well.

Any help appreciated.
