Just purchased an IPad and still learning how to use. I am loving it. the forum reLly helps discover other stuff about it.
My question is I bought an IPad Cover from Brookstone. I have a problem when I try to open it and fold the flap under it turns off the screen on the IPad2. I know it is the cover is there anything that will help the IPad not turn off.
I appreciate your input.

if i understood your question correctly, i think you have the sleep/awake magnets on your front flap, and when you align it behind your iPad, it accidentally turns it off. What you can do is 1) don't align the flap behind your ipad 2) turn off the sleep/awake function under Settings: iPad Cover Lock/Unlock.

The problem you cite was common among the first cases developed for the iPad 2. Simply put, the magnets in the screen cover are too powerful. Thus, they activate the sleep function when the cover is folded over on the back of the iPad. As the previous poster suggested, the only "solutions" are to not use the cover as it was intended or to turn off the sleep/wake function. Another "solution" I'd recommend is to return the cover to Brookstone and select one of the many covers that don't have this problem.
