iPad. Google calendar reverse sync

I have an Ipad that I currently have synced with my google cal. I am able to see my google calendar on my iPad but I am unable to make changes to it using my iPad. There is some sort of sync issues that everyone is having but there are some ways around this I have been told. So Again it is already synced!!! I need to be able to work on my iPad using the calendar program and have it sync back to my google cal. I've been told u have to trick the iPad into thinking it is an iPhone?
