What's new

Ipad mini love? Yay or Nay?

For what reason just cause of retina haha your funny cause they will have another ipad mini 3 rolling around in a few months after mini 2 so id wait . Thats the only improvement
Well as always Apple will be upgrading the processor to go with the extra load of a higher resolution. My guess would be Ax6 if considering they'll probably release the A7 in their flagship iPad 5.

They say the chips are faster than the previous but i rarely see a difference in processing.

Yeah thats true but I think retina screen would be worth the upgrade alone anyway IMO. There's times on the mini when text is very small and fuzzy like on mobile optimized web pages they're made with the full sized iPad in mind, a better resolution screen would help Thar out a lot.

I had the ipad 1 and liked it quite a bit. I really like the ipad 2 in comparison and think it has perfect processor speed and graphics for me. In fact good enough i have no intension on a further upgrade. So, reading that the mini was like the 2 was good news to me. Got the mini and like it.

I've only had my iPad mini for a little over 2 weeks now and like a lot of new toys, it gets better the more I use it. I still like my desktop better for doing the things I do on the net. I do like having a lot of apps to choose from.

We bought the original ipad, played with it for a day and it went back. I don't know why I just didn't like it. Then the ipad mini came out. Instant love. I've only had mine for the day but I already know this sucker isn't going back. I am a female. The size isn't too small for me. I'm not the "Bigger is better" type person. I'm happy with my 37'' t.v. Any bigger would be overkill. The size is pleasing, and the weight is incredible. I can't comfortably hold the regular sized ipad in one hand and web surf or read or anything like that. With the ipad mini it is so appealing..... LOVE IT!

It wouldn't let me edit, but I wanted to add that to me the full size ipad isn't portable, atleast not any more portable than a lap top. The ipad mini is so light and thin, it is too easy to take and go! I am hoping my keyboard case isn't going to ruin that for me.

I'm a monogamous kind of guy and I had a lot of technical devices, so I'm going to have to say "nay" on the love part of the iPad mini. I don't use it as often as I did when I first got it as I prefer to use my main desktop PC. It has a bigger screen, so I can see more at one time. I do use it at times where I need to follow along on some tutorial as I'm actually working on my desktop. It does fit in the space in front of my desktops keyboard, so that makes in convenient. I have a netbook that use to do the same funtion, but it was a little bigger and I used a mouse with it, instead of the track pad. so the mouse too up more space. I'm using a Zagg case with blue toothe keyboard, and some keys made editing easier for me than the onscreen virtual keyboard, but I'd prefer "end and Home" keys and it would be perfect!

Well you need that moolah to be a collector of electronic stuff. There seem to be, only a few, on this forum, but that need not concern us. They keep an eye out. They are right up with it. They read and ponder about the new stuff just in. They are onto all the new stuff actual and rumoured forever "kicking the tyres" of anything on the shelves that has finally appeared after reading the lengthy rumours. There are apparently instances where they have so much stuff they need to keep all that stuff purchased, new and old, in more than one house, yet they are seemingly adept at being able to use all that stuff pretty much at the same time. They can talk brand loyalty and just as easily indicate they could jump ship, depending on the new stuff that comes along.

But what does it matter if someone feels the need for more than one iPad? It's none of our business. That should have no bearing on the enjoyment of ours. I'm enjoying mine. I hope you are enjoying yours.

Lol. I love my gadgets, but don't own a mini yet. Waiting on the next version.

I have lots of gadgets, but keep them in my main house unless I'm visiting my vacation home. I don't get there frequently enough to leave gadgets there -- except an old Sony Vaio, which might be dead for all I know.

So far, my record for using devices is three at a time -- movie streaming on one iPad, using two others to put together a PowerPoint. But we have only two iPads at home now, because we give away gadgets so others can enjoy what we're too busy to use. I have to get rid of one or two when I get the new mini, because I can't use them all. They're never worth much for resale, so giving them away is more appealing to me.

As for loyalty as a consumer, I'm loyal only to myself. What works best for me gets my money.

I tried the iPad, sold it, bought the Mini... it's love! Perfect size, weight and overall usefulness. WIth the Logitech keyboard cover as needed, it does almost everything I need
