According to a report on iDownload Blog today, the iPad mini is fast becoming the kids’ favourite, at least according to a new survey from app maker KinderTown, which is in the business of helping parents to find apps that are suitable for children, so clearly they know their stuff when it comes to that particular market! The survey polled more than 200, 000 users, and found that post-Christmas use of the iPad mini in particular increased by 270% among families with young children. KinderTown also found that the iPad 4 was a popular family gift, and that some children in families got to use the original iPad, with the older family members using the newer tablets. KinderTown’s figures also showed that the iPad mini, the fourth and fifth gen iPod touch, and the original iPad all gained in usage after Christmas, whereas use of iPhones and the iPad 2 and 3 declined after the holidays.
