Psychedelic iPad action-puzzler Hexius now has a free Lite version so that you can try before you buy. The full Hexius iPad game, which is also available for iPhone/iPod touch in both versions, has three game modes, global/friends scores, weekly score challenges, achievements, and regular updates. The newly released Lite version includes Time Attack mode, and the first 6 levels of Level Challenge mode.
In Time Attack mode, you have to try and connect matching hexagons as fast as possible before the time runs out, whereas in Level Challenge mode, you must collect all the targets in order to move up through the levels, which get harder and harder as you go along. The faster you go, the more time is carried over to the next level.
Hexius features all the traditional puzzle game bonus types, such as Bomb, Reveal, Freeze, and the new Multiplier bonus, and as you can see from the video, it looks pretty addictive. They know what they're doing by getting you hooked on the Lite version first!
