iPad running android os?

Just curious as to whether there's a hack that's pulled this off yet. I've seen certain YouTube bids that demonstrate it in action but I'm not really sure how deep that rabbit hole goes.. Anybody know?

i think the project is dead. there hasnt been any new news on it in a very long time. u might want to check out xda-devlopers for more info on that. they also work on ios stuff now with iphone dedicated site

There was a website about a year ago saying they did it, but I don't think anybody really wants android on iPad. Why would you? Just buy a xoom.

actually alot of people would love that feature. to be able to dual boot os. the best of both worlds. my win mo phone does this and i can choose to run win mo or Android ;-)

Dual booting would be nice. Just that would be a lot of work.

okay, i have just seen an Ipad 1st generation i think that is running an Android 2.1 os.
I could not believe it. it prompted me to get online and see if i can get me one of them. unfortunately not!!!! I asked him how and where did he get his at, he said that when he was traveling in china, he picked one up!!!! i told him, next time he goes to remember me and pick me up one!!!! lol

I think you'll find it is what looks like an iPad1, but which in fact is nothing of the sort.
It for sure will be running some version of Android, but iPad hardware, I don't think so... It certainly won't be capable of running IOS. That's what I expect anyway. China is full of lots of lookey-likey products like that, but they never live up to expectations IMHO!
Probably very cheap compared to an iPad though!
